Dear All,

I'm engaged to a US citizen and we plan to marry in Indonesia next year.

The idea is for me to visit his family this fall in US, which translates to me applying for a tourist visa.

US Embassy in Indonesia is one of the most difficult ones.

Of course, as I do not have hundreds of millions of rupiah (Indonesian currency) nor own a house, they consider that I do not have a strong tie to Indonesia (for applying tourist visa, you need to demonstrate the strong tie to your origin country), eventhough I mentioned that I have a son here with me.

Bottomline is my application is rejected.

I was just wondering if any of you guys here have had or heard anyone with similar experiences as I wish to seek for advices.

Thanks...
