Hello Everyone I haven't posted very much but my fiancee's interview is June 18th in Zambia. Im flying there to be there for the interview and was very unsure if I'll be let in the embassy. My question is should I email the consulate and ask if I can at least be allowed in the waiting room or just show up. Obviously I want them to know I'm there and be there to support my fiancee? Any suggestions it is not a very busy embassy. I've only found one person on here who has done a K-1 there. Appreciate everyone's thoughts!

Contact the embassy. Some will allow it, while others won't. If you can't go into the embassy, maybe you could give your passport to the your fiancee to show the CO that you're there supporting her. This is what US citizen petitioners often do at the consulate in Vietnam.

I don't know if you can go in, for me it isn't important. I would have gone anyway so I could at least support my fiancee and bite my nails in the same time zone. I encourage you to go if you can, even if only to wait outside. It will mean a LOT to her that you made the effort to be as close as possible. And yes, if you cannot go in, have her take your passport to show you are there.
