But what I am wondering is, what if we do decide to get married later. Will my previous failed marriage to a forgiener be a black mark on my record? I am wondering if there is anyone here that has been thrugh the visa process twice here that can let me know what to expect. Just in case. Also, the visa could be for me to go over there... we aren't sure just yet, we have only been together 6 months. :luv:

There are quite a few people who have sponsored >1 alien spouses/fiancees on VJ. Remember Bob and Tom from the Phillipines? They both had racked up quite a few Philipina wives over their lifetimes. I dont believe they had any problems at all.

ari!?!?!?! how on earth did you forget to mention shon?!?! she's sponsoring her 4th hubby at the moment!!!

where is the love?!?!

Question....

It was mentioned last night that IMBRA might have an impact here. Since Vicky filed previously for a K1, does she have to wait a while before filing another?

I can't remember what IMBRA says about this....

I had a k3 but from what I can tell from reading into it a little, I should be ok since my last approved k3 (well my only one really) was filed on 12 April 2004 I believe. so it has been more than 2 years. I will dig a little more tho.

kisschick,

Maybe you don't want to read it, but it needs to be written - history can teach some valuable lessons, consider it well.

A second time around is not uncommon. Like the first time, whether the process is difficult or not will depend on the specifics of the case.

Yodrak

OK so, most of you will remember me, I married a Romanian back in 2004, we were approved and the next day after he got off the plane he changed, became abusive and we eventually seperated, on our way to a divorce. He still lives in Chicago and when he threw me out I went home to Texas. ok that's all the bad news there.

Good news. Yes we are getting divorced and he is going back home, he really misses Romania. Thing is, I have met someone new and it just so happens he is from England. I have already heard all the non-constructive things anyone could say... "Didn't you learn the first time? Don't you think this one will use you for a green card too? Stop meeting men on the internet ...etc." We aren't even engaged so let's not even go there.

But what I am wondering is, what if we do decide to get married later. Will my previous failed marriage to a forgiener be a black mark on my record? I am wondering if there is anyone here that has been thrugh the visa process twice here that can let me know what to expect. Just in case. But when we turn to the Hebrew literature, we do not find such jokes about the donkey. Rather the animal is known for its strength and its loyalty to its master (Genesis 49:14; Numbers 22:30).

Hey Vicki!! sorry to hear that things did not work out but also happy to hear that you have picked yourself up, dusted yourself down and finding new love!!

We have been back in the UK now for just over a year and coming this way was by far easy, easy, easy - compared to me going over the US that is! There is a great site that can help you - http://talk.uk-yankee.com/index.php - Like VJ, I would have been lost without it.

If there is anything I can answer for you, I'm happy to do so!

Hope things go smooth for you and life gets better each week. Your posts always either made me laugh or open my eyes wide !!

oh that site looks like so much fun!!! I love it!. More than likely he will be comming here where it's 100F+ (40C) all year round just to get out of the cold, but we will see what happens once he goes thru his first hurricane! :D

I would love to go over there but I would be worried about finding a job since I don't have a college degree. Even when I moved to Chicago, just a part time job at the corner donut shop had so much competition!!!! I felt like I needed a college transcript just to be able to pour coffee!

we shall see.

I am still the same kissy that shocked and amazed everyone here ;) that much hasn't changed!
