Charles seems happy to post everywhere ... he's always hunting for Timbits in the Canada forum, and I see him on PI as well. He hasn't come by our Thai threads, but I have a theory about that. See -- Canada, PI, MENA are all full of the ladies. The Thai threads are mostly just us fat-azzed guys. No wonder Charles is happier being sole guy in a crowd of delightful women. N00b that I am, I'm just following along in his footsteps ;) .

i'm where the fun is. :)

Are u saying we have no fun on the Thai threads?

You haven't seen daboyz and Brother Aggie when they get going :P

no one fights like the mena girls.

:devil::dance::dance::devil:

*Woot!* What a compliment from Dear Charles!:lol:

mena girls would win hands down, the only competition in the area might come from the pi regional.

Is this a welcome party for Ron? welcome to mena! :P

"you fondle my trigger then you blame my gun"

Timeline: 13 month long journey from filing to visa in hand

If you were lucky and got an approval and reunion with your loved one rather quickly; Please refrain from telling people who waited 6+ months just to get out of a service center to "chill out" or to "stop whining" It's insensitive, and unecessary. Once you walk a mile in their shoes you will understand and be heard.

Thanks!

Well Charles are going to have to share the attention now

Ron, Thanks for sharing a bit about yourself and your neat wedding photo.

That is quite an impressive list of nations on your list.

You must have a good, flexible job to be able to travel that extensively.

Do your kids come to visit?

Do your kids come to visit?

I used to travel a ton, when I worked for an ISV (software vendor) and my clients were all over the world.

Now I am much happier with a job that keeps me planted on terra firma. The business travel thing gets real old, real fast in my experience.

My kids have not visited me in the states since I came back to live here last year. I went to Brazil to see them in Dec, and I'm going again in July. Looking forward to it!

Divorce and broken families always seemed like someone else's problem, until it happened to me and my family. I am very happy and optimistic about my own future. But I worry about the ongoing effects on my kids. And I hope my ex can find herself in a better, happier place. I know she's going through a traumatic readjustment to being a single mom and needing to fend for herself. For all of our differences, she is a good person and the mother of my children. I wish her all the best to find what she needs in life to move past and look forward.

Since VJ is all about couples and relationships, some of which are first time loves, but many of which are people on the rebound, on 2nd , 3rd or even 4th marriages, it's pretty natural that there is a lot of community wisdom here about coping with divorce and family breakups. I've read many threads that have been helpful to me on VJ.
