Hi! I entered the US with a K1 visa two years ago and my green card expires in October, I've been trying to find info in the forums (difficult to do with a 9 month old baby) and now I'm confused, am I supposed to file for the 10 yr green card or for citizenship? sorry if the question is dumb, I'm rusty from being wife and new mom lol. Thanks for your help in advance ;)

Also, you need to do this ASAP. Do not wait until your GC expires. You are eligble to file right now if your GC expires in Oct. If you wait until after your GC expires you will be out of status and deportation procedings will begin.

AS everyone states ( well most everyone ) you need to file the I-751 I-751 90 days before your green card is set to expire. AND then next year if you are still married to your us citizen spouse 90 days before you GC 3rd year you can file for citinzenship. Good liuck :)

Why is it that the only one who can stop the crying is the one who started it in the first place?
