We mailed our AOS packet a week ago and the check hasnt been cashed yet. Im worried if it got lostin the mail or if we had some kind oferror in the papers and they are not going to process out paperwork..How long does it take to cash a check?

Advice please...

07-25-2008 - I-130 - NOA1

10-03-2008 - I-130 - Touch

02-12-2009 - I-130 - APPROVED!!!!

Advice please...

It is not unusual for the check to take a week or two. After one week I would nit be worried BUT never send anything to the government without delivery confirmation. NEVER. If it gets lost you will not know it for a long time, USCIS will tell you to wait 30 days minimum. Also alway skeep copies and/or original documents for yourself.
