Transfer of AOS to CSC and then back to NVC

Our AOS was transferred to CSC very soon after receiving the initial NOA. This was on Feb 20, and the reason stated for the transfer was to expedite the review. April 21 we received another notice of transfer BACK to the NVC because they "now have jurisdiction." Anyone care to guess what it means? One person offered that it probably means an interview will be necessary. Is it possible our case is complete without an interview? Anyone else in the same boat?

If your AOS was transferred back to the (NBC) national benefits center it is very possible you will have an interview.

I have never heard of the National Visa Center dealing with an I-485.

My mistake, yes its the NBC not NVC. Too many acronyms in this business...

I have never heard "The case is going back to NBC after transferred to CSC".

I guess CSC thought there wasn't enough evidences to accept the conditional GC without an interview.

Now NBC will send your case folder to your local office for a possible interview.

Sometimes USCIS doesn't even know what they have been doing.

This is normal, this is USCIS !....
