Well, thanks to easier travel between Canada and the States, I have been able to come and be with my fiance

since January 1. But as time has gone on and no approval yet, sob sob, back to Alberta I go in 2 weeks. We

know how fortunate we are that we have been able to be together for these 6 months and he'll come visit me

in Canada for the next 6 months until we await our approval.

Although it is heart wrenching to be apart; I have to go back and try to find employment (very lucky to have

found a friend that needs to have a house sitter/dog sitter for the month of July) we are still being positive.

We know that we want to marry, do it legally, and have been given the opportunity to be together for months

at a time and realize that we want it forever. All relationships have their learning curves and we are thankful

for not having to be apart and have to learn about so much time apart.

I love Canada, but am so excited to be with the love of my life I would live anywhere, but hey South Texas

on the bay is beautiful (all year long).

Hope ya'll have found your true love and look forward to your new life in their state.

The Calgary Stampede is way more western fun than you'll find in the entire state of Texas, and Alberta isn't sweltering hot and humid. Plus, there's the winter sports!

I'd kill for a 6 month holiday in Alberta! Have a good time, and good luck on your journey! :)

My heart goes out to you. I went to California for a 5.75 month visit last July and came back in January. We were married in July and I was hoping that everything would be done by the time I went back to BC, but it wasn't. The good news was, the first morning I was back at my job (I took a LOA) when I logged on to my computer there was the approval email. Now I am just about done with the school year and my interview is June 22nd. Hopefully, everything will go very quickly for you.

Sorry your time together went by so fast! Good luck on the job front...

I hope his coming to Canada for six months won't impact your financial part of the process!

Don't be a stranger!
