Hi,

Related to my previous post on biometrics, IS IT OK TO CHANGE THE FIELD OFFICE you go to without moving in to the district? I was assigned to go to Syracuse office. But it's much much more convenient for me to go to New York City office because Syracuse is so hard to get to without driving. Has anyone been able to change your local office without moving in to the district?

I believe Syracuse is just an ASC, not a field office.

  • Albany Field Office.

This office is located at: 1086 Troy-Schenectady Road Latham, NY 12110.

  • Buffalo Field Office.

This office is located at: Federal Center 130 Delaware Avenue, First Floor Buffalo, NY 14202.

  • Garden City Field Office.

This office is located at: 711 Stewart Avenue Garden City, NY 11530

  • New York City Field Office.

This office is located at: Jacob Javits Federal Building 26 Federal Plaza, 3rd Floor, Room 3-310 New York, NY 10278.

  • Rochester Field Office.

This office is located at: 100 State Street, Room 418 Rochester, NY 14614. This office provides limited information services.

  • Syracuse Field Office.

This office is located at: 412 South Warren Street Syracuse, NY 13202. This office provides limited information services.

You cannot change field offices that may do interviews.

But you may be able to walk into one of the others to do a biometric.

You can always try, as long as you have the appointment letter, and the office is not very busy.
