Best of luck for those who still have an upcoming interview.

We had ours on the 16th and are placed on an estimated time of 2-3 months of AP.

They did not keep our passport

That is sad... If you weren't in that consulate, you are now approved I guess. Anyway, you just have to be strong and be patient till you can be with your spouse. I'm going to have my interview in 6 days. I'm excited. ^ ^

USCIS Took 5 months for me (too long)

I-130 Sent : 2008-09-02

I-130 NOA1 : 2008-09-08

I-129F Sent :

I-129F NOA1 : 2008-09-23

I-129F RFE(s) : 2009-02-05

RFE Reply(s) : 2009-02-06

I-129F NOA2 : 2009-02-10

G325A sent to USCIS- 2009- 02-05

03/16/09 -IV Bill generated

03/16/09- Received IV Bill

03/17/2009-Paid IV Bill

05/10/09- Returned Completed I-864

5/18/09- RFE received for DS230/ Sent response through DHL from PI

05/20-05/21/09- Early medical- passed

5/22/09- RFE received for AOS package (wooo..grr))

5/27/09- AOS response overnight to NVC

5/28/09- NVC received checklist (Ds230) as per AVR/ under REVIEW

6/02/09- I-1864 RFE was entered into the system- Review begins

6/05/09- NVC website log-in failed

06/08/09- case completed (per operator/US time) 6/9/09- PH time ..yeah! :-)

06/09/09- interview date assigned (through email)

07/28/09- Cr1 interview date (APPROVED)

07/30/09-Visa Received

08/07/09- US Entry : POE: LAX

08/08/09- Arrival to destination

08/20/09- Permanent card received

correct! I'm getting so excited. can't wait to pack my things so i can fly with you on the 6th. Wow, I will really have a short time packing. But, better hurry and be with our cute hubbies...ehhe!

Vibha had her interview on the 28th. Her Visa was approved. We are happy that this stage in our life journey together is behind us. We will be flying home to Texas on the 1st of August - POE of Newark.

We will post later with details but the interview was heavily biased towards dates of past events. Over 40 questions were asked. The consulate staff were nice and it did not seem like that many questions , it was more of a conversation than an interview. It got over in 15-20 minutes, and she heard the magic words....Your Visa is approved, after she said, "Do u want to see my husbands passport, he is waiting for me at the stars and stripes lounge?"

Thanks to God and the wonderful people on Visa Journey, without whom this journey would have been very expensive and more stressful!!! than it already was!!!! :dance:

TIME LINE.. CR1 VISA JOURNEY

USCIS STAGE

Send I-130 by USPS : 26th January 2009

NOA1 : 3rd February 2009

I-130 APPROVED : 25th March 2009 [56 Days]

NVC STAGE

Case transfered to NVC : 06th April 2009

CASE COMPLETE : 04th June 2009 [22 Days]

Email with Interview date : 09th June 2009

Medical : 30th June 2009...Passed

28th July 2009 : "Visa is Approved"....Thanks to God and VJ!!!
