We are currently waiting for package 3 for my daughter and I and I would really like to get all the necessary documents ready beforehand. I'm sure there is probably a list somewhere here, but I haven't found it yet. If someone could tell me exactly what they request for the CR-1/CR-2 interview I would greatly appreciate it. We have our long form birth certificates, our passports, a notarized letter signed by my ex stating that he gives his consent for our daughter to move to WA state, our marriage license and both my husband's and my divorce certificates from our previous marriages. Do we also need the marriage certificates from our previous marriages ( hope not, huge hassle)?

Yes, you will need certified copies of your marriage certificates --- it is pretty easy, you just go to vital statistics in the US --- if you want I will send you an exact copy of our Package three checklist in a personal mail --- it is for a K3 but it will give you a jump start --- and by the way they will let you fax everything --- in Vancouver

Thank you for the info, yes I would love a copy of the checklist. My husband is from and was previously married in NY. Will he have to go through city hall or just vital statistics to obtain a copy of his previous certificate? We have our interview in Montreal because they don't do IR-1 visas in Vancouver unfortunately. Thanks again.

I could be wrong but I don't think you need the marriage certificates from previous marriages just the divorce certificates but like I said I could be wrong
