If I get married in another country and I am an American citizen, what happens? Am I legally married in the States? Am I still an American citizen? I know it's a funny question but I really don't know..

Mrs.jayb - I haven't read through these posts but saw your post on the Subbies section. I married in Thies, Senegal and it was no problem here in the US. I did though contact the Attorney Generals office in Washington State to make sure before I went there.
