Tomorrow I am going to apply my SSN. i just red in the instruction that I need to submit I-94? Is this the small piece of paper stapled in my passport issued by DHS with an expiration of 3 months after my arrival? I'm not sure if my pressumption is correct, is this equivalent to temporary working permit?

another thing, in the SSN form, item no. 3 ask about the citizenship. Should I indicate the "Legal Allien allowed to work" or the "legal allien NOT allowed to work"?

I need your brilliant ideas.

God bless :)

God bless to everybody :)

It is that card stapled in your passport "Departure Record" Marked "I-94"

It is NOT a work permit, and does NOT allow work authorization. K-1 checks Legal alien allowed to work even though they do not have evidence of work authorization.

After you marry you file to adjust status and along with AOS you file an I-765 for a Work Permit (EAD Card) only with an EAD CARD or Green-card can you work.

Sometimes folks (in your timeline) may encounter 'issues' obtaining the SS card in their married name - if it were me/us, I'd apply for the SS#/Card in your maiden name then come back after you've gotten either the EAD or PR/Green card to get the card changed to your married name (if that is something that is important to you).

It seems to be the path of least resistance.
