I called USCIS today because 94 days had already passed since my interview ( for I-751) and I haven't heard anything from them. The customer representative advised me to make an infopass because there is nothing they can do about it.

I am not sure if this is a good idea because USCIS office is almost 3 hours drive from where I live and would be a waste of time and money if info pass won't make any difference or resolve anything in my case. Does anyone here in this forum have done the infopass and find out the status of their case? Everyone is welcome to share their honest opinion. Thanks everyone.

When did you get your 2 year green-card? Are you planing to become a US citizen? If so perhaps filing a N-400 at 1 year after you file I-751 will get them moving.

I become permanent resident (2-yr GC holder) in September 2006. I filed my application for 1-751 (10-yr GC) in June 2008 and had my interview in February 2009. And since then I haven't heard anything from them. Do you think N-400 would help and would not complicate my pending case? Another thing is, my extension letter will expires on September this year, and it's been a year since I sent my application for I-751.

Filing N-400 forces them to process the I-751, they cannot start work on the N-400 until the I-751 is completed.

Good to hear this YuandDan, we are in a similar situation. Filed for removal of conditions back in June 08, and haven't heard anything since the case was transferred to CA in February 09. Just a few weeks ago (05/09), we submitted my husband's N-400 and filed a service request with USCIS since the removal of conditions is outside of normal processing times. Let's hope that either the service request or N-400 gets something moving! Good luck to all of us!

Met in Rwanda December 2003

Married in Rwanda March 2006

Came to US with conditional Greencard July 2006

And then we became three, J born September 2006
