Hi all,

I am about to start the visa process but it now looks as though my husband has to move states. Does it affect our application if we dont file it or live within the state in which we were married. Thanks all in advance x x

nope... which state the marriage occured has no bearing

FWIW the petition goes to a regional USCIS service center (only four centers for the entire country and only two that do family based visa petitions)

YMMV

Not a problem, Americans are free to live and marry wherever they want.

Marriage is big business in Las Vegas NV, does not mean that you need to live there.

OUR TIME LINE Please do a timeline it helps us all, thanks.

Is now a US Citizen immigration completed Jan 12, 2012.

thanks so much, for some reason i had it in my head that i had seen it say somewhere that it had to be filed in the state we married. Just a crazy moment of unnecessary panic! :)
