Dear all,

what should I do, I have filed my AOS in Feb, and have received my AP and EAD, but have not received anything concerning my GC, only the 1st NOA. I have checked my status on line, but it was not updated since the day I took my biometric, even with my EAD.

I have called the service number, and the person told me that my case is at the DC office and they still have 200 something days before they make any decision, so is anyone else experience the same thing if your case is at DC office??

I am so worried right now.

Good luck to me,

thanks

With your AP and EAD already in hand - you're processing about as normal as can be expected. Current timelines between NOA1 and Interview is 133 days (or a little less than 4 and half months)..

If all things are equal - you should be hearing something in the not too distant future..

Hi Yvesandching,

I am in the same boat as you are.. I filed in feb (see below for timeline). After harassing USCIS, I finally got my EAD after 90+ days. However nothing seems to be happening with the GC application. I did get an RFE and I got an email from CRIS saying that I should hear something from them within 60 days after my case processing has resumed. I am going to wait for 2 more weeks before I start harassing them again. I really believe that my application ended up in some incompetent clerk's desk... sigh.

Im a Nov 08 filer, have my EAD & AP got RFE then after a month passed the RFE i got email from Cris saying another RFE again sent on the mail but sadly to say i dont recieve till now.this is really frustrating my AOS forwarded in CSC last feb.this is frustrating and im so upset..i just keep praying and hoping to receive my another RFE asap so i can send back to USCIS.

Prayer is the best to start a day...A day for us to have faith to face trials & value what life is....!!! have a nice day to everyone!!!!

Just a tip: check the processing status time-line for your local field office.

They may be "holding" on to your file until they can start processing as in the order they come in for the local office.

Unfortunately it doesn't mean that someone who filed Feb 1st will finish before someone else to filed Feb 15th (by dates), but by the dates the local office are processing (i.e. perhaps the Feb 15th's local office just started processing December 2008 files, but the Feb 1st's office just started processing October 2008 files, and so on).

Makes sense? It sucks, and I am in the same situation as you. (no "touches" since the biometrics)
