I-129F proof I met my fiance

Hi, My name is James. I am engaged to Erma who lives in the philippines. I flew to Hong Kong in May of this year to meet Erma, she flew to Hong Kong as well. This is our meeting before filing the papers. Does it matter that I haven't been to the Philippines? I was planning on including boarding passes and copies of passport and my passport dates as well as Ermas to show that both of us went to Hong Kong. I have plenty of pictures to include as well. Should this be enough to prove we met?

Also, I am in a wheelchair, that is part of the reason why I didn't fly to the philippines, though I do plan to go to the philippines when Erma's interview is scheduled to be there with her. I am really new to all of this and any help is apprectiated.

I will have more questions later about the I-134 and that I may need a co-sponsor...not sure yet. I am wondering how that process works and how likely we can be successful with it.

Thanks again!

James

you need to show both parties in the same place at the same time... if you meet in a 3rd location, then what you propose is what you need to do.. present both person's travel activities..

I-134 is at the consulate many months from now... you have time to study up...

YMMV

Yes will need to provide travel documentation from both you and your fiancee, to proved having been in the same place at the same time sometime in the past 2 years.

I-134 is needed at the time of visa interview, not when submitting the I-129F.

OUR TIME LINE Please do a timeline it helps us all, thanks.

Is now a US Citizen immigration completed Jan 12, 2012.

A good suggestion. I met my Ukrainian wife in Prague CZ. I did not give evidence of her travel, only mine, for the description of how we met. We were approved but I thought of that later. It does not matter where you met, that is true. But you need to provide plausible evidence to support your statement of how you met. Including her travel documents would be a good idea.

Acceptable travel documents are boarding passes, passport stamps. Also photos of you together are secondary evidence to support this.

In a similar vein as another thread, where emails and chat logs were suggested as evidence of meeting...

Itineraries are useless as evidence for question 18 on the I-129F. I can go to Orbitz or Travelocity right now and reserve seats anywhere in the world, and print out the itinerary, without actually buying tickets or going anywhere. Even if the itinerary shows that the tickets were purchased, it still doesn't prove that the purchaser actually boarded the flight and took the trip.

A boarding pass proves the passenger probably boarded the plane, and a passport stamp proves the passenger actually entered the country. Just about any other evidence related to the transportation would be secondary.

Hotel receipts are good, especially if they have both parties names on them.
