Hi VJ members...

I've been a member for a while, but this is my first post...

I got my permanent resident card 2 days ago under my maiden name. My ss card is under my maiden name also. I guess to match my passport. However, my Driver license has been changed to my married name. Should this be ok or ?

If I were you I would prefer to have everything consistent & in the same name. Is there a reason why your green card and SSN are in your maiden name and not your married name?

Thank you for your replies. I assume that my GC and SS under my maiden name is to match my passport name...I don't know. Does this happen to anyone? Or you GC, SS and Driver license under your married name?

If you want to change the name on your green card you'll probably have to pay a fee which is fine if you don't mind paying but if you prefer not to, wait until removal of conditions and you should be able to change it for free there

Thanks kaffy. My visa is in my maiden name also...maybe that's why (confused)...I also have the 10 year GC already.

Did you fill out the forms I-485,I-765 in your married name or your maiden name?If you use maiden name in all the forms then that will be show on your greencard.

My visa were in maiden name too because I entered US by K1 and also my passport.But when I filled out all the forms,I used my married name and also I submitted copy of marriage certificate.

Its not because in your passport and visa are maiden name.They are following what's on the forms you filled up and submitted them.

N-400 Naturalization

04/25/2012 - sent N-400 package to USCIS Dallas

04/28/2012 - package delivered at USCIS Dallas

I-751 Removal of Condition

03/22/2011 - sent I-751 package to USCIS Vermont via USPS Priority+Certified mail with Return receipt

03/24/2011 - package delivered at VSC according to USPS tracking

03/25/2011 - package received by Center Director according to Return receipt

04/04/2011 - NOA received - dated 03/25/2011

04/11/2011 - Biometrics Appointment Notice received -notice date 04/08/2011

04/28/2011 - Biometrics Appointment - Done!

10/14/2011 - Card Production Email

10/17/2011 - Approval Notice received - dated 10/06/2011
