I've just send in my I-129F package. Took me about 2 months to gather all the info.

My question is whats next?

I want to be proactive and start working on Package 3. What is Package 3? What documents and info should I start gathering now? I've searched in the forum but didn't find much info.

Your advices are always appreciated. Thanks

Just keep records of communication to bring to the interview.

US citizen will need to provide an I-134 so prepare a copy of your 2008 IRS return, or perhaps order SIMPLE transcripts fro 2008,7,6

http://www.irs.gov/taxtopics/tc156.html?portlet=1 (Just dial the 800# and order them)

Foreign citizen will need documents like Police cert, birth cert, (Some countries require single cert)

Moving this to Embassy/Consulate forum.

Now you wait until you receive NOA1 in the mail (which should be soon), and then for NOA2 (the approval) which could take a few months, the time frame is different for most people.

Package 3 will be sent to your fiance in their home country (I'm assuming you are the US Citizen), and it will only be sent by the embassy once your case is approved (NOA2) and once it has gone through NVC, which you will know because they inform you by mail. Her local embassy/consulate will send it to her. Package 3 will tell the beneficiary all the documents to gather (to take to the interview) as well as the forms that should be filled out. All you, the USC, will have to do in that phase is send the beneficiary an Affidavit of Support Petition.

Hope this could be of some help. :guides:
