I prefer BBC for online news and The News Hour with Jim Lehrer (on PBS). I really like the NHJL because they do 30 minutes of news in a typical format followed by 30 minutes in which they cover 3 topics in more depth followed by a discussion. Typically both sides are represented in the discussion, its well mediated, and even on controversial topics I feel like each side gets an opportunity to lay out their argument and the mediator does not allow guests to yell over each other and promotes a collegial tone.

I watch Fox and the local news most of the time.

I trust what I see on CSPAN and LinkTV for an unfiltered perspective. I also used to watch a lot of PBS and listen to NPR, as well as Pacifa Radio, but they have failed me lately for any originality.

I also watch Hardball, and TV Patrol. Sunday I catch ABC News Sunday, and FOX News Sunday.

Now, I gots AJ and FP to give me perspective.

BBC and local news

"you fondle my trigger then you blame my gun"

Timeline: 13 month long journey from filing to visa in hand

If you were lucky and got an approval and reunion with your loved one rather quickly; Please refrain from telling people who waited 6+ months just to get out of a service center to "chill out" or to "stop whining" It's insensitive, and unecessary. Once you walk a mile in their shoes you will understand and be heard.

Thanks!

Network news rarely gives the type of in-depth coverage important issues deserve, and having "expert" guests to talk about it doesn't cut it most of the time.

I voted Fox and Fox, but for international news, I prefer BBC.

Voted other. Get most of my news from ESPN. They are fair and balanced in their coverage of sports and do not try to influence me to move my political views towards the "left" or "right".

Network news used to be worthwhile (before CNN). Took an hour to report the significant events that happened that day. With CNN, et.al. you get 5% news and 95% opinions (here is what happened today, now here is what you should think...).
