We sent our AOS Thursday May 28th via Certified US postal. It arrived Sunday May 31st at 10:00 p.m.. When tracking online at usps.com it says the package was delivered but, it does not say it was ever signed for. Does anyone know if this means USCIS has not picked it up? I am worried because our medical exam expires today so, I was hoping the filing date would be by today.

Any advice would be appreciated.

Don't worry about it - They don't "sign" it, same thing happened to me. You'll have your NOA soon in the mail :)

Yeah, they don't sign it...I think that I soon that the package is in the PO box, the USPS marks it as signed, I don;t see anyone being there signing the thousands of letters that they get everyday :)

I doubt they sign the hundreds of packages they receive on a daily basis. It might even be a BOX where they get dropped off by various couriers. I may be mistaken but if medical is expired, they may request for a renewed I-693 anytime during processing. As far as I know, its expiry has nothing to do with the acceptance of package at the LockBox.

Regards,

PS: Somebody correct me if I am wrong.

You will most likely get an RFE for medical since you waited too long to file. If I were you, I'd get a new one done now to minimize the delay, or just wait for the RFE. But I'm guessing that you'll be getting one.

Did you pay for a return receipt? Or delivery confirmation? Delivery confirmation is different and since it is delivered to a PO box, you may not get a signature. They got it. You will get the NOA in 30 days or less, usually

The "filing date" will be the day they receive it and scan it into the system, regardless of when they send the NOA. Also I am not sure the "filing date" will help you. The medical will be expired before your file is processed and you can still get an RFE.
