I have printed a copy of this and I'm going to be talking to some folks about your threats.

good luck.

I am an American and I love being American. However, I am ashamed of our government!

then exercise your right to vote

Friends, who like me, are anti-gun, anti-christain fundamentalism, anti-war, anti-republican, and most of all anti-gun toting redneck like your good self and Bush!

you make the above sound like a good thing.

No, 90% of you wouldn't want to hang out with me!

given this post, i'm in that 90%

But this is America and we can all say and believe what we want. The biggest problem with this country is that the do-gooders don't really do much good and look down on those with an opinion different than their own.

and did you not just look down on the 90% you cited?

godsavethequeen, this isn't worth it. They are doing a great job (sarcasm) at representing America! You know it isn't the way it really is. It's a matter of only having courage behind a computer screen. Leave them to their breeder lives to screw the world up even more by spreading their hatred!

oh cool, now everyone is a breeder.

And I've had it with VJ now. Way to many dumb asses coming here and what not. For those that have helped me in the past, thanks.

I think if I didn't already love soccer and started watching this world cup I would have to say it's because there are more dives than greg louganis (sp?) -- watching the england-portugal game yesterday I thought it was the academy awards not a soccer match

best actor in a leading role=cristiano ronaldo

dont see anything wrong with the post.. it's funny.. and I still can't understand why Americans in general don't like soccer.. although these last weeks in my store they have been watching the games, I guess they didn't know the rules.. but I explained them to the crew, and they seem to enjoy it more lol..

I can't think anyone I know who likes sports who doesn't love it after being properly exposed to it

I also think that while soccer isn't a major sport in this country (and probably will never be) the idea that it's "not popular" is a myth -- if you look at tv ratings (as good a barometer as any), major internationals and european matches do really well

I think it's because soccer is so plain. There's basically only one thing they do- try to kick a ball into a goal.

In Baseball, they may sacrifice fly, hit a home run, steal a base, hit an RBI, make a double play, and more.

In American Football, they might make a pass, fumble, make an interception, kick a field goal, run for a touchdown, run a reverse option- plus they run the risk of being paralyzed. You also have so many players with clearly different roles. You have guys in sizes from 160 lbs to 350 lbs. I know there are defensive players and offensive players in soccer, but they all seem to be doing the same thing to me- kicking the ball.

Now, you can argue that hockey and basketball are about the same as soccer- and I agree. Hockey isn't really that popular in the U.S. It's only more popular because it's violent and fast. Basketball I would argue is more popular because there is much more scoring, and ties would never come down to who can make the most consequetive free throws.
