The Ankara embassy received my package on 5/18/09, and there is still no interview. They told me it is waiting to be processed. They are very good at responding thru emails. what seems to be rediculous is that they only do up to 5 interviews a day. No wonder it takes forever to get an interview date.

Please keep in touch, so we can give eachother feedback on how it is going.

Look for BobbyUmit here on VJ and give him an email.

I think his fiance's appointment was several months out from Packet3.

Ayup - because Obama showed up in Turkey Mar/Apr of this year, they cancelled all visa interviews and moved them up.

So Umit's interview is set to 3 months 8 days down the pipe.

That was after it breezed through USCIS - NVC. Plus we sent in the packages to them (since Ankara does everything by email/website) within a week of their reciept of the NVC package...

Iranian applicant's will have a longer wait - they have a mandatory AP time out.

Ankara Applicants from Iran

My Advice is usually based on "Worst Case Scenario" and what is written in the rules/laws/instructions. That is the way I roll... -Protect your Status - file before your I-94 expires.

WARNING: Phrases in this post may sound meaner than they were intended to be. Read the Adjudicator's Field Manual from USCIS
