removal of conditions question

Hello, I just had 2 questions. My green card is due to expire on April 23rd 07 and I have to do the removal conditions 90 days before that date. My first question is, are the INS strict about how soon you send it in (can it be sent in before 90 days) and also I live in central Illinois, so the nearest INS office (for when i get approved) to the town I live in would be Chicago? Thank you in advance.

I-751 sent to NSC: 01/--/07

NOA1: 01/25/07

Biometrics: 02/23/07

Tick..tock

Contacted congressman, ombudsman late March

Got 1 yr stamp and case moved to CSC: 04/02/08

Approved: 04/08/08. Done with USCIS for a few years. :)

Card received: 04/14/08

First off the INS has been out of business for about 3 years. U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) is who you are dealing with now.

90 days means 90 days

If you are asking about where to send the I-751 when you apply, it goes to a Service Center, not your local immigration office, which would be the Nebraska Service Center.

If you send it in even a day early they'll send the whole package back to you afaik... I know that if you accidentally send your citizenship application in too early they'll let it get all the way through processing and then deny it because you don't meet the criteria, so make a careful note of when it's due and don't jump the gun!
