Yeah Cheney stays in the sh1tpile as far as I'm concerned.

I'm not sure Cheney will ever be out of the sh!t pile! Good debate possibilities though...What exactly would he have to do to get out of ones sh!t pile?

It does not make him any less of a creepy chopfvck.

Isn't Obama's position the same as Cheney's on this issue? Anyway Obama creeps me out and the worst thing is he's just started.

Your question was answered in the article. But of course you'd have to have read it, for that to work. For your convenience, here ya go:

But his endorsement of state-sanctioned marriage for gays and lesbians appears to put him to the left of President Obama, who has said he supports civil unions rather than marriage for same-sex couples.

As to creeping out, .... aw, never mind

No, I didn't read the OP because it's not a prime issue to me.

It makes me wonder if Cheney is to the left of Obama on the issue why is it none of the liberals here slammed Obama or praised Cheney?

So you admit that you post in threads where you haven't even bothered to read the premise and context of the discussion.

And yet you want us to take your questions and comments seriously? Hmmm.

And how would you know if "none of the liberals here slammed Obama or praised Cheney?" Perhaps that too has already been asked, and answered, if you'd bother reading before just writing.

Insert suitable Rob'n'Mel FAIL pic right around here

As it happens , we librulz (well, let me speak for myself...) commend Cheney for his enlightened approach to gay marriage. And yet still condemn his views on just about any other policy or position you may care to mention.

As to Obama, sure I'd prefer that he openly support gay marriage. And you know what? yeah, Obama should come right out and say that gays deserve the very same rights straight couples do. It's the right thing to do.

Having a conscience would be a good start.

Cheney only supports gay mariage because his daughter is gay. I am glad that he accepted it and did not disown her but I bet he wishes she was straight.

The thread is about Cheney, not Obama, so whether or not someone mentions Obama is irrelevant. With that being said I actually agree with Cheney that this is a state issue & not a federal one. Personally I am against gay marriage. but favor civil unions (if that is the correct term). As I see it marriage is both a legal & a religious issue. I don't see a problem with gay "unions" being recognized in a legal sense, but as a religious matter I do see a problem since marriage is b/w a man & a woman.
