I've been playing since...yesterday. Anyone else? (My Sim just had twins!)

It really pisses me off that Maxis is trying to co-opt the free object community by making you upload objects to their site. I am /not/ paying $1.25 each for "good" objects! Also, the base game comes with almost no objects -- which means that they're forcing you to shell out for their download site or the later expansion packs. #######.

The graphics aren't as good as Sims 2 but the game runs much faster & there aren't any loading screens past the first one. However, the interface is clunky.

Overall, I'm enjoying the game 'tho. They've finally managed to incorporate many of the aspects of the Sims 1 & 2 expansion packs into a playable game. It's actually possible to now let your Sim have a hobby, go down town, hang out with friends, raise kids, and advance in their career.

Yes I bought it yesterday. No, I cannot get it installed. Lots of people are complaining about all the bugs and crashes. I can't even get it installed.

With regard to Maxis trying to charge you up the as$ for game items..... Wait a few months, and check for the times for free on various websites.

so u can't download free stuff like u could at modthesims2.com? there's this yellow phone i downloaded for sims 2 that is a lifesaver. it's a cheating phone where u can add skill points, refresh them so u don't have to tell them to go eat, go to the bathroom, n a lot of other cheats. also, can u use ctrl shift c like inn the other to cheat? i hate starting a game in a tiny house because i'm broke lol

Not as of yet Nessa, mods are not working right now but I am sure that soon they'll find out how to create unofficial skins/objects.

The game is still sorta buggy, I'm betting on a patch real soon.

I was finally able to play it, still gotta mess around with it to learn the new buttons and all. Like right now some things that I liked doing in Sims 2.

i saw a site from maxis that gave you sim webmates - and when you went to different sites (like cnn.com) it gave you a free object from each place.
