Hello,

This is just some information for those of u guys still waiting for your NOA1. If you are in a hurry to find out your case number and by chance your check is cashed, they actually right the case number on the back of your check. I went online to view the back of my check and the case numbers starts with WAC# which was the same as my case number listed on my NOA1. Just thought I would put it out there. Thanks!

Weird, I thought it was all done electronically now. I cant view my check (I was curious so I checked). I have my NOA1 already though..

Notice to Those Making Payment by Check. If you send us a check, it will be converted into an electronic funds transfer (EFT). This means we will copy your check and use the account information on it to electronically debit your account for the amount of the check. The debit from your account will usually take 24 hours, and will be shown on your regular account statement.

Also you need to add 1 to the last digit, so a 5 becomes a 6 that is you case number

Example: on check WAC 9458584852 Becomes WAC945854853 that is your actual case number with USCIS.

Truly happy!!!

New life, new adventures, and a new attitude.

Me either. The number on the back of my cancelled check is exactly the same as the number on my I-797C NOA form.

And in some cases it also starts with EAC, instead of WAC.

I think it's EAC if the petition is sent to Vermont, and WAC if it's sent to California. I believe the "E" stands for "Eastern", and the "W" for "Western". Dunno what the "AC" stands for.

12/15/2009 - K1 Visa Interview - APPROVED!

12/29/2009 - Married in Oakland, CA!

08/18/2010 - AOS Interview - APPROVED!

05/01/2013 - Removal of Conditions - APPROVED!
