Hi everyone, im still waiting for an interview date, i was approved on APRIL 22-09. im getting a little frustrated i knew the ghana embassy was slow, but i didnt expect a delay like this. hopefully one will come this month. congratulations to those of you who received interview dates, and good luck. sorry to hear that...Did u call them up to check whats going on???They have started scheduling for Jul so u will probably hear soon.Best of Luck....

Hi again, YES, i have called the NVC at least twice a week since May, and they can only say NO INTERVIEW HAS BEEN SCHEDULED YET. Ive heard that it takes a while for Ghana's embassy, im just becoming a little impatient. hopefully in the next week, i will receive an interview date. thanks for your replies, pray for me. Van

Hmm, if you case was completed in April, technically its been over two months, and it should not take them that long to schedule an interview. Definately if they are slow, the interview could be scheduled for hypothetically December, but can't take so long to schedule an interview.

Try calling NVC and talk to a supervisor, also call the embassy and ask whats taking so long!

Thanks for your reply, yes my case was completed at NVC April 22 -09, spoke with them again today and they said, the ghana embassy is very busy, not a lot of interviews were given out last month. she told me to call back by the end of next week, hopefully i will get a date then. ive followed other Ghana VJ members and it seems to be the norm, looks like it takes around 2 months to receive an interview date after NVC completes your case. i will ask for a supervisor the next time i call. thanks a lot for your reply and advice.

I'm so sorry to hear what you are going through, at the same time a bit encouraged that I'm not the only one! My husband is in Ghana and our case was completed with the NVC on April 3, 2009. Still no interview. I have called the NVC countless times and this is what I know- they cannot or will not give an estimate of how long you are expected to wait to get an interivew. Accra is a packed embassy. Interviews are scheduled the second week of each month for the following month, usually toward the endo of the week (meaning calling on that Monday gets you nothing). So we definitely do not have interviews until August or later. :'( This was our 3rd try, I'm hoping next month we get one...we're going to be 6,000 miles apart on our first anniversary.
