Presumably because while you lived in the UK every time you went to the Dr's you were prevented from gaining access to health care because of the queues of perfectly healthy people who were continually gumming up the works getting tested for every possible ailment under the sun.

What I know is, even in the UK where there is universal health care, people do not visit the Dr every five minutes just because they can. They still only go when they need to.

You already pay for the most expensive, least useful treatments. I would prefer to pay for less expensive preventative, but hey, that's just me. Obviously you like waste.

will provide coverage.
