Today I took my wife and daughter to the Federal Plaza in New York to receive the I-551 stamp on her passport.

It was the easiest thing I have ever done with USCIS. They gave us number on the lobby and by the time we took the

elevator to the 3rd floor our number was called already. We went only with the Welcome to America letter and her passport.

We can now relax and wait for the card to come anytime. I scheduled the INFOPASS appointment on Monday June 1, 2009 for today.

Hi monagoz,

Thanks for sharing the info. It always helps others if you share your good/bad experience.

Thanks again.

monagoz,

Did you have to show your conditional green card and if so, did they take it away from you?

If VSC current timelines continue and if the current green card production delays continue, I fear we may need a stamp in my passport for Christmas travel and I'm reluctant/sad to give it up after everything I went through to get it.
