i have a question about job status for the i-134. i work part time but i make enough money along with child support to be over 125% of poverty level. do they care that i dont have a full time job?

If you make enough income (from your info - you do) then your good to go according to the instructions.

However, every embassy has their own threshold of criteria you will need to meet.

My Advice is usually based on "Worst Case Scenario" and what is written in the rules/laws/instructions. That is the way I roll... -Protect your Status - file before your I-94 expires.

You mentioned child support. You're including yourself, your kids, and your fiance(e) when figuring out the household size for the poverty level, right? Each additional dependent adds about $390 per month to the minimum you need to have for 125% of the poverty level.

The consulate does have the authority to use their own discretion when considering the public charge risk, but I haven't read about anyone having a problem because they worked part time rather than full time.

No. They don't even care if you HAVE a job as long as you earn enough money or have enough assets
