Once you are through with the NVC and the the US Embassy in Manila got your approved petition they will send you a letter stating you are now eligible for visa interview. That's the time you call them to have your appointment. Just wait and while waiting gather all the documents you will need for the interview. Goodluck! :)

Hi Jeff&Madz...

You don't need the letter from the USEM in order to schedule an interview. As a matter of fact, my then-fiancée never received a letter from the USEM.

We called the USEM and scheduled an interview about 10 days or two weeks after we called NVC and received our MNL case number. It takes the USEM some time to receive your papers and to enter them into their system.

The people at the call center are reading from a script. They will always tell you to call back in a week or two. Try calling every other day. Eventually they will have your papers entered into their system and they will give you a choice of dates for your interview.

Or, you could call the USEM directly and make an interview appointment. This is what we did because the call center was giving us a nosebleed. The direct line to the USEM (calling from the U.S.) is 011-63-2-301-2000 extension 5184 or 5185. The best time to get through on this busy line is around 8:30 a.m. (Manila time).

Good luck with scheduling your interview. You should have no trouble scheduling an appointment in June.

Just try again after few days. You dont have to wait for USEM letter.

After you fiance received the NVC letter, wait for few days before calling for an interview schedule. NVC has to mail your application to USEM and someone from USEM should encode your case in the system.

Been there done that.

yes i experience the the same problem, us embassy had our k1 for a month. did not hear anything, during that month i call every other day! i must have spent a hundred dollars on those pins. finally one night end of may, i called them again and i told the man that were waiting to long and that ive called so many time. he check with his supervisor and then let me schedule. before they kept telling me that the 'case not complete' or ' was not eligible' i think thats just a line to string everyone out longer than they already are. i guess maybe there trying to get as much money as possible. with the pin numbers you have to purchase.
