The fact that he holds a master's degree doesn't magically entitle him to know every single aspect of the immigration process.

Thats true but then he was the one that wrote first to let everybody know that he has a Master Degree...

I doubt he wanted to show anything off... he was just making a sarcastic comment, why all these harsh answers? I have no degree and yet I did not feel offended by his first post nor I believed he was showing it off..

Rosie 74, thank you so much. I'm so glad you understood my point of view. You made my day, I have been sad, and on the defensive all this while. May God continue to bless you with aboundance wisdom. Thank you

You should know that because as you have said, you are a Master's degree holder. You should know the difference between a "notice" and a "card".

I agree!

The fact that he holds a master's degree doesn't magically entitle him to know every single aspect of the immigration process.

Thanks for your intelligent responce. Your level of education does not matter when it comes to the unconventional ways USCIS operates. How can you explain it: when USCIS approves a case about a month ago, sent an hard copy of an approval letter, ordered the production of your card two times within a week - with different dates, and now turn around to send an email that approval notice sent again.

I am not an idiot, I know the differnce between a notice and a card. The logical sequence after 'card production ordered should be 'card mailed'.

My post is just meant to further expose the inadequacies of USCIS. The most immigration savy, and well educated might and will never understand the unconventional ways that USCIS operate. USCIS will sometimes put the cart before the horse. It will sometimes send a CRIS email that 'approval notice sent', and what you will see in the mail will be the actual GREEN CARD. USCIS will send your card before your get approval notice in the mail. Your case could be approved now, and latter be pending approval at CSC. Approval notice, the GC, transfer notice, and more junks could come in the mail at the same time. Where is sequence or logic?

I put the question out there because I know somebody must have received the email that says 'approval notice sent' and end up getting the GC in the mail. So, I'm not stupid.

Please everyone, stop mocking this gentleman. He was simply illustrating the fact that even people in the intellectual elite, such as him, can become confused by the immigration process.

Csoul and the like, stop hating! The issue here is not about having Msc degree or not. I never intended to show off my educational achievement. I was just making a point that USCIS could make a fool out of the best mind. I am fully aware that many among us are PHd holders and more. I never meant to raise my shoulder or blow my triumpet. Please, let's talk about the real issue and leave the non issue alone. God loves everybody.

You'd think someone with a Masters degree would know how to properly spell "illiterate."

 Not sure what his native language is, but I think his english is pretty damn good... and spelling is one of the hardest thing to get when not writing in your native language. Your point was inappropriate.

Hello everybody,

I have been unnecessarily crucified, and my personality almost murdered by people who failed to recognize SARCASM, and blinded by the fact that, nobody is impeccable irrespective of one’s worldly status and achievements. Many among us are not from Anglophone country; and English language is our 2nd language (L2). So, the “Usher” of the VISAJOURNEY should stop picking on the correctness of my spellings and grammar. I am not Mr. ‘do-no-error’. The lexis and structure of my grammar is not the best, and most definitely not the worst.

Thanks. This is the point I was trying to make before the personality war began to dominate the real issue. Your story gives me hope that despite the illogical way USCIS conduct it business; there will be light at the and of the tunnel for me.
