Only a month until interview but fiance has not recieved any forms from the embassy

Hello all visa journey members,I'm just wondering if anyone thinks somthing is not right here,my fiance(in iran)has a july 6th interview for K-1 visa at the american embassy in abu dhabi but she has still not recieved the packet with her forms that she needs to take with her,it's only a little over a month from now and I'm getting pretty upset about this,for some reason they sent me a packet a while ago but she still has yet to recieve one,this does not seem right to me,I have a bad feeling somthing is screwed up,what do VJ members think?thanks.

I think she should be contacting the embassy asking these questions. Have you gone to their website?

There is information and forms downloadable there. How come you haven't forwarded to your fiancée the forms they sent you? In some countries with unreliable mail service, for example Cambodia, it's not uncommon for the embassy to send the paperwork to the petitioner who is then expected to get it to the beneficiary.

Definitely call them, they might made a mistake.

Look at the embassy website.

If they have step-by-step info for the K-1 process, she can do somepaper work before she receives the packet.

My SO did not ever receive his forms either. I had him download them from the internet and fill them that way. I am surprised they scheduled an interview without having the packet returned first. With us we had to return the filled packet to them then they scheduled the interview.

can you tell me how long it took them to give you an interview date once they received your package?

it was about 2 or 3 months for the interview after they received the packet 3

The forms and instructions should be available for download. My wife has yet to receive her package and out interview was last August. You can download and prepare everything

Definately contact embassy. There might be a possibility that NVC accidently never sent it out!
