Question for people who have already sent in their I-751:

When showing evidence of joint accounts, etc... did you send in statements for every month for the past 2+ years or just a few statements dating from the date of marriage on? I want to make sure I cover everything, but it seems silly to print out so much paper for each month statements.

Thanks!

I have not heard of the requirement to send the entire statement to USCIS! They are looking at the fact that you share an address and financial responsibilities; they are not looking to examine your spending habits. I made sure I sent statements spreading over the past two years, and highlighted the date on each one.

02-18-2009 - I-751 filed (Removal of Conditions)

06-22-2009 - Removal of Conditions approved (via USPS)

07-01-2009 - Email from USCIS advising of approval

Hi. I have a related question. We get our statements on line, I was told since they are printed at home they are not good to send, that I have to take them to the bank and have them put a stamp on every page, to my surprise when I got to the bank they would not stamp the statements, new regulations after the mortgage mess. What they did at Wachovia was, they gave me a letter(Bank Stationary) stating the kind of accounts we have with them and the dates of when they were opened, no account numbers(new regulation), also gave printed reports (on regular paper) for every month I asked for and then they put the stamp on every page. Do you think these "statements" are OK to send. Has this happened to anybody else. Thanks.

Our bank statements were entirely printed at home and didn't had to go to the bank for any 'stamp' and I got approved. You should be fine too.Good luck.

Well I sent all almost 2.5 years worth of statements, I know it sounds like waste of paper, but I filed I wanted to make sure i cover all my grounds and leave no stone untouched for USCIS.

I sent a statement for everything 3 months, spanning the time we've been married. In addition, I did not always send the entire months statement.

I don't even know how to get these statements since our bank is out of state. Any ideas? I really want to have these included in my package.

Just evidence of the joint account is fine on its own. It sounds like the bank gave you the letter stating when it was opened and in whose name it was opened. That is fne. The purpose of sending multiple statements is not to show spending habits and history but more to show that you have had a joint account and for period of time since you were married. Don't kill trees by sending 300 pages of bank statements.

NB: I sent 3 statements, all dated since AOS was approved and spaced out to cover the whole time frame including the most recent.
