Texas does not do family based I-485's... they are submitted initially to the National Benefits Center via the Chicago address

YMMV

Texas process I-485 that are NOT family based.

You need to look at processing time for your local field office. (And this only covers cases pending interviews that were not transferred to CSC) https://egov.uscis.gov/cris/jsps/ptimes.jsp

Note: You are doing K-1, in many K-1 cases, NBC forwards the AOS to California Service Center for adjudication without an interview. This usually take 4-months or longer to process. (4 in my case)

Yep that is where to look. When the time comes and you are in the AOS process one of 2 things happens.

All AOS petitions go to Chicago the mail processing center for the National Benefits Center (MSC).

From there the NBC looks at the case and decides to interview in which case it tends to sit at NBC until your field office is read for it, OR they send it to CSC for adjudication, where a case officer looks at the case in greater depth and either approves without an interview, OR decides an interview is needed and sends it back to NBC to then send to your field office when they are ready to do an interview.

If it goes to CSC, then there is no easy way to estimate when a decision will be made, typically a few months after CSC gets it.
