Jawi wah gwaan gyal!!!!!!!!!!!

Hey pumpkin. How are ya?

one more week jawi!!!!!!

Yes ma'am. I will probably just be coming out of the hospital and recovering...so I don't know how much I will comprehend. Maybe my sis can take the message for me. I hate that I won't be able to fully celebrate when it happens.

I will be having my second neck surgery on Thursday. They will be cutting me in the front again and then flipping me over to cut in the back of my neck. I will also have stitches around my head because they have to put that metal crown on my head to keep it from flopping around and to keep blood pressure from my eyes (it can cause blindness if too much pressure rests on my eyes )....I'm trying hard not to be scared...please keep me in your prayers for full recovery and no complications.

Hey I just thought of something! They better not MESS with my 'HAWK!!!! I do not want my hair shaved or cut!!!!! CHA!!!!!!!

On a good note, my short term disability just got approved so I get all my vacation/personal/sick hours back that I used to make sure I didn't go without a paycheck. Woooooottttt!!!!

You will definitely be in my thoughts and prayers

Thanks so much.

Wanna go? Oh I love St Lucia... can't wait for it to be permanent home someday!

I would LOVE to go for New Years!!! I'm trying to talk my girls into going somewhere for New Years but so far no such luck. I think it would be so neat to be on the beach at countdown instead of in a ice storm. If only they would budge!!!!

stone love.. how is hubby liking the job?? how long did it take for him to get his ead after arrival??

He likes it but they are cutting back on hours so now he is only working weekends, Sat and Sun....so his pay is kinda measly....i'm trying to look for other jobs for him but you know how it is right now...epecially in nyc...and especially since he does not have that much experience yet... :( ....since he came up on a CR-1 Immigrant Visa he didn't need an EAD...he got his SSN# like 2 weeks after he landed in US....i'm just hoping something else comes along...either another part-time so he can do both jobs or one nice paying full-time job....

i feel ya.. i know how roger complain so about no money or work in jamaica and i tell him its not much better here.. i have a friend w/ a masters out of work 6 mnths now.. i just pray that he is ready for the WAITING and he doesn't let it frustrate him much..

may God open up a door for mr stone to get one job that will supply all his family needs.. soooonnnnn!

Quana I know who you’re talking about and let me ask you this. I was down there and I seen how she wears her hair. She wears it natural and all over her head. Now granted I love this look but do you think that maybe they should at least try to wear it back for the interview and then once they get the job be free again?? Someone mentioned that maybe if she wore her hair back a little she might get a little farther in the process. Your thoughts?

Morning, All,

R there any naturals who straighten their hair (flat iron, pressing comb) etc...Quana, Shemmy any more naturals. I want to try it never had any heat for 5 yrs

One time I spent 5 hours and a LOT of money at the salon getting my hair professionally pressed. It was the straightest/flattest it's ever been, even when I was getting relaxers! I went home, wrapped it, went to sleep, woke up, and IT WAS NO LONGER STRAIGHT! I cried.

Since then, I've flat ironed it a few times myself. What I find is the most important aspect, even more important than which of my many flat-irons I use, is what I put in my hair before flat-ironing it. Hair wax is a must (for my hair). If I were at home, I'd post two pictures taken one day apart. One shows my hair flat-ironed with some other hair product (not wax) and one shows it flat-ironed with the same iron but with wax. Night & Day difference.

Hey 1Luv I am natural but I am Weavalicious 92% of the time LOL. when I dare wear my natural hair out only in the winter due to the lack of humidity I will press my hair straight. Let me tell you it's an ordeal because it's extremely thick and alot of it but I use 100% virgin coconut oil that I melt down on the stove and use a flat iron @ 210 degrees.

This weekend I was starting to braid my hair so I could sew in the weave and Hubby was so upset because he loves the texture of my hair and wanted me to wear it out for one week. So I said ok I look exotic now but you wait and see! So walked around the house with my natural texture for a few hours in the humidity and before his eyes it changed and I looked like the bride of Frankenstein. He was rolling and told me Baby now I understand, go ahead do your thing! So now I have and 18 inch weave down my back and I am in Happy town LOL

All caught up so now I can officially say Morning All!!!

Hey Dada Whats good?

Sus I love Machele, I wish I was going with you!
