That's not a stupid question.. Does you daughter attend a K-8 school? If so you will not have a graduation until next year. She'll have a 8th grade one.

It really depends on the school. If the school is K-5 normally they have a 5th grade graduation because the child wont be returning so it like a send off to middle school but if the school goes to 8th grade them they typically wont do it until the 8th grade. Got it??

I have a question to any of my sisters from Africa out there, how the HELL do ya'll fry GOAT...mi mean seh di goat tough areadi, den unu go fry it...no sah...fus time mi try dat mi nearli end up wid dentures

You steam cook it first and then you fry it. We do the same with chicken also. You cut it into the pieces you want and put some salt and onions with it in a pan with the cover on and no extra water. Leave it to cook in its own juices for about 10 mins. and then add a little bit more water for 5 more mins. and then take the pieces out and drain it. Viola! now you are ready to fry.

dang sunny.. i love how u and ray are getting around.. thats is what i say, enjoy life w/ ur hubby ESPECIALLY since ya'll don't have any kids yet.. GIRL roger will be here next week and while my kids are w/ their dad, i am gonna do as much as i can think of.. he will be nice and tired by the end of the week LOL ( hope not too tired?? )

but i will tell him.. nuh get used to it.. REAL LIFE soon come LOL enjoy our vacation!

ohh.. jg i don't know how the schools do it where my2 lives, but here MOST elementary schools end at 5th grade so they have the grad then, middle school is 6-8th.. they just started that a couple of years back.. i really hate it, i don't think 6th graders should be in middle school, my kids go to a elementary that still goes to 6th grade..

5th grade ends elementary ...she starts middle school next school .

Question for you all, i am applying for a job that offers relocation expenses but it is in Greensboro North Carolina. I dont know a damn thing about NC other than i want the hell up out of michigan with its crumbling economy. Can anyone enlighten me, please?

Yes ma'am. I will probably just be coming out of the hospital and recovering...so I don't know how much I will comprehend. Maybe my sis can take the message for me. I hate that I won't be able to fully celebrate when it happens.

I will be having my second neck surgery on Thursday. They will be cutting me in the front again and then flipping me over to cut in the back of my neck. I will also have stitches around my head because they have to put that metal crown on my head to keep it from flopping around and to keep blood pressure from my eyes (it can cause blindness if too much pressure rests on my eyes :eek:)....I'm trying hard not to be scared...please keep me in your prayers for full recovery and no complications.

Hey I just thought of something! They better not MESS with my 'HAWK!!!! I do not want my hair shaved or cut!!!!! CHA!!!!!!!

On a good note, my short term disability just got approved so I get all my vacation/personal/sick hours back that I used to make sure I didn't go without a paycheck. Woooooottttt!!!!

Shemmy - my co worker just came over to my desk earlier talking about how she want to move to Atlanta. It's cheaper than maryland and she wants her daughter in a better school system.

Wait - What are Anonymous Users? Or should say...Who are the annoymous users? Hahaha show ya face already...

Atlanta has a better school system than Maryland? Mi nevah know dat.

Me either...I don't have kids and just never really thought about schools. I guess where she lives...it's not good.

All cities have good and bad schools. We moved out of PG county (MD) so my daughter can get a better education.

Disclaimer - all schools in PG are not bad....just where we lived.

I feel the same way here that why my kids are enrolled in magnet schools which are the schools that are better here the kids have to maintain grade and behavior and they have to be accepted .

Hi, My2. My day was great. My Toastmasters speech didn't go as well as I wanted it to, but was good enough to win "Best Speech" today. Now I'm super tired from my last couple of nights of long, late phone calls with Steven. As soon as Real Housewives goes off at 10, I'm going to sleep! (So I say)

I like Houston for the diversity of people & activities, and for the progressiveness compared to where I grew up (New Orleans). But sometimes I miss the French Quarter, French Market, & casinos of New Orleans. The worst part about Houston is the traffic, and the fact that my friends/family live so far away in this huge, spread out place.

Has anyone been to Kool Runnings? If so, how fluffy-friendly is the park?

You don’t suffer cause they have to suffer shoot you and hubby are following the rules so they get beans and you get food. I say torture them and make a real big dinner. Serve you and hubby and then when they come to the table and there mouths are watering at what u all are bout to eat say oops my bab I meant to get your plates and bring them the pot of beans and say Bon appetite..

Shemmy, i use Carols daughter conditioner on my hair and i love it.

DADA, i dont anything about NC but im willing to look and take a chance. I feel like its time for some major changes in my life. This company also offers relocation to some spots in Tennesee, MS, VA, and NC. They have alot of spots in different states. It is called Youth Villages, they do residential foster care, which i was doing last summer. Of the openings they have where they are willing to relocate, North Carolina sounded the best to me, my dad lives in MS and i have no desire to live there, to damn hot and country. Now maybe NC is the same, but hopefully not.

I vote for VA

NC is nice. I would love to move there but would have to divorce Damien first Think he wants to stay here forever.

My cousin just moved to Richmond and she loves it!!!

My daughter wants to go to college in Richmond...we love it down there.

I used to live over that way (well over the bridge in VA beach) and LOVED it
