Like JG said, take it one day at a time. I know people who came up on K-1 and didn't file until 2 years later cause they didn't have the funds...when I decided on going the K-1 route I had to look into the cost, including the AOS, trips to Jamaica. I figured if I had to come up with the filing fee for the K-1 and AOS, he can take care of everything else on his end in Jamaica and he did.

This was what we agreed on too... he keeps telling me not to worry...

Lawny are you saying this is not true???

After learning about everything outside of what USCIS tells us, I will advise you this:

NO! DO NOT SPEND ANY MOMENT PROCRASTINATING!

Don't listen to ANYONE that says it is safe to be in this country out of status. It's a misguidance, and your immigrant spouse is NOT safe. If a member of border patrol checks his/her papers, they're going to spend 1-4 months in prison, and there's no way around it--even if they've already applied for AOS and don't have proof on them of having done so.

The $1,010 you couldn't afford before, will become $8,000+ in legal and attorney fees.

Border Patrol told me that to them "Out of Status" is just another term for ILLEGAL and will lead to arrest.

Thanks!

This was so informal! :-) I think total cost to me was a couple hundred $$! The reception was a gift also. I guess I am loved... :-)

In St Lucia Louis and I always went to the rivers... so now where we live the park down the street has a really nice river. We thought about beach 1st ... This all just fell into place.

Irie your wedding pictures are breathtaking. Looks like everyone enjoyed the day. And you are a woman after my own heart with the chocolate bride and groom cake.. yummy, yummy..

Intimacy, like charity, begins at home. If we cannot be intimate with ourselves, we have no way to bring to intimacy with another person.

Intimacy with ourselves takes time. We need time for rest, time for walks, time for quiet, and time to tune into to ourselves. We cannot completely fill up our lives with activities and become intimate with ourselves. Nor can we just sit quietly indefinitely and become intimate with ourselves. We have to have the time and energy to be our lives and to do our live in order to establish and intimate relationship with ourselves.

Surprisingly, as we become intimate with ourselves, we discover our connection with others

Intimacy....In/to/me/see...

No saying that it's not ture and that is can't happen. I'm just saying that I've know people who have waited a very long time to file for AOS. I would advise against it, but people have done it. Personally, I would NEVER wait that long, that's why it's best to plan ahead.

....when it hurts to look back and you're scared to look ahead LOOK beside you and I'll be there.....

There comes a point in your life when you realize who matters, who never did, who won't anymore... and who always will.

So, don't worry about people from your past, there's a reason why they didn't make it to your future.
