How long would you say is too long? I'm thinking to wait until 30 (3 yrs), but Steven wants me to have one yesterday. Perhaps it's because people rather talk about the bad (unordinary) than the good (ordinary), but every coworker that has kids talks about the amount of money kids cost & the restrictions on travel they have with young kids.

I would wait. You need to to make sure you two are compatible before rushing into parenthood, so many marriages fail these days you need to make sure you're building on a strong foundation....Not saying that your marriage is necessarily doomed, but I think it's madness to rush into having kids too soon....

I agree with that 100%. Children are a wonderful joy, but they put a whole different set of stressors on a relationship.

Nope...I'm trying to calculate it where I can use my vacation time to make the maternity leave longer....

you can't calculate a miracle sweetie..

you can't ... cause I want a summer baby and I told hubby that when we are ready that we will have from September to early November to make it happen if not the window is closed and we have to wait until the following year. But, i guess if I get older and nothings happening then we will try for around the clock but for now that's the plan.

And no I am not on your side. Children are a blessing and it is the best thing that has happened to me in my life....you are going to kick yourself that you waited to long once you have one. You will never know the love you can have for someone until you have a child. IMHO

I am trying to have one before i am 30 so in case I want another one I will still have some time... So we have 3 years..

Agree with JAEnglish about not rushing, I believe a child changes the dynamics of the relationship and if its possible it is better for the two ppl to build a solid foundation before creating life....

sounds like how richard is.....he didnt tell anyone where we were in the process and when i was shocked his neighbor didnt know what was going on and asked how his neighbor didnt evwn know he said its no ones business but mine and his.....his family knows we didnt get thru in november but even now they dont know whats going on unless richard tells them......so they all come to me casue they know i am not a private person.....drives him nuts sometimes but thats just me......he said jamaicans keep to themselves and when the day comes he is getting on the plane then everyone can know we made it......

What always suprises me is that they can spend hours on the phone chatting it up, but they don't know anything about anyone. I always asked him what the heck did you just talk about for an hour then???

i find avenue's clothing very underwhelming

i was going through my email and i found these pics of this cat my husband adopted

at the time i was going through what sus is going through now

my life felt like it was falling apart

it was working 12 hour days AND studying for my exams PLUS i had not seen him in 6 mths

it was horrible and i felt like i was at the end of my rope

and he adopted this stray cat and named her olive because he knows i love pets

he's not too fond of pets though but he took her in and everyday he would take pics of her and email them to me

just to cheer me up

Tonight I was a guest speaker at a Toastmasters meeting. On the way home, I stopped by The Avenue for their one day only $2 tank deal (not quite as good as the $1 tanks from 1.5 weeks ago). I got 2 tanks (one is bright pink), bright blue & silver earrings, and a super-cute big yellow purse. I will be rocking the bright colors this summer!

kids may have restrictions but you work through them....god had a plan for me and richard to have these babies (may not have been when i wanted them but i wouldnt change it for the world now with the exception of having richard here for it all)....hell my babies have traveled to JA 4 times before the age of 1 year! you do what you gotta do and if you gotta travel then you travel! so its an extra suitcase or a diaper bag.....it is possible.... i work part time and am living on my own with my babies and they have what they need and like to think they are well off even with what little money i bring in after bills and rent are paid for the month.....it seems once you have a child you just find a way to make it work and i think god helps out too.....casue lord knows i can make $5 stretch a week if i have too and before the babies came along i couldnt make $20 last 5 minutes! LOL.....

Thanks to everyone for your condolences and advise on the AP, we are gonna try to do th AOS immediatly after the wedding and then make a infopass appointment. The funeral isnt until the 18th so we have a little time. He is definatly not going if he doesnt get the AP, there no way am going through this process again.

That so true i have my kids and though they didnt come when i would have plan i wouldnt change the fact that i have mine either... kids make changes in your life ...they bring hard times but one moment of joy can erase all the struggles
