My husband says people have bad mind...so he didn't tell nobody till the day he left. He left the same day he got the visa.

A is the same way. It's sad but oohhh so true. I think I'm going to worry everyday until he gets here now that the visa is actually in hand.

I know Lawny...but I'm not a fan of some of his associates (he doesn't call them friends either)...they know each other because of the neighborhood...but if they find out that he has visa for Canada and the US...oh man! I'm just ready for 8/20 to get here. He said he wished we had booked it for an earlier date now too. The whole purpose was for him to spend time with his girls...and babymama is playing games again and won't let him see them on a regular basis.

I can't change the ticket because I used my credit voucher from last year. *sigh*

Everything's going to be ok, Jawi. Just hang in there. No use second guessing yourself now. Deep breaths, girl!

speaking of cell phones..at what age would you get your child a cell phone?

When she has a job and can pay for it herself!

I don't even use a cell phone. I have a prepaid one for when I go on trips/long drives or whatever but that all I use it for.

If my daughter was going somewhere and had a good reason for needing one then I would let her get a pre-paid as well.

Ur kidding right Irie? No cell phone? I don't remember life without it. My mom worked for the cell phone company from when they were car phones. I didn't get my own until college though. But that was the time when it was billed by the minutes at first.

yeah, I know, I am probably one of the only people left! I like the simple life. I didnt have cable until Louis got here. It was wonderful! I wouldnt even have this computer if my job didnt pay for it! LOL

Wow, Irie, I really admire that. I don't know why but this is one thing that going to Jamaica so often has taught me....the simple life. Everytime i get back here from Jamaica I ask myself why do I need all this stuff? why do i work so much? why do i spend my life running my kid around and running errands and running around like a chicken with my head cut off? just busy busy busy and never appreciating any of it. Jamaica and my husband have taught me to just relax and enjoy life....

Living in St Lucia for 6 months did the same thing to me. Although I did have a cell there! Had to... no land line. But I was so happy... and I really didnt have many posessions. Tierra and I had a 1 bedroom apartment. Near the beach and we would take the bus everywhere. We had so much fun and I didnt want for much!

My daughter is on her way to Las Vegas with my Mom and Aunt for a month. Hubby thought that she should have a cell phone so he could call and check in with her so he got her one. I just don't know how I feel about this but his justification was that kids in Jamaica have them at that age. We will see how it goes...I was thinking more around 5-6 grade but 2nd!

hey Yardies... i am finally having a good day yesterday was the freaking worst for me... okay well today i brought my bday shoes for 500 instead of 800 matter of fact instead of 1100 i been stalking these shoes for months!!! then i brought a bcbg maxazria runway dress orginally 400 i paid 70 bucks on top of that i just knew my chunky azz was not going to fit into that dress but i guess the gym paid off because it fits so nice then i went to daffys and brought a pair 2 pairs of capris, a cover up and a maxi dress for 20 bucks okay that's it so far hopefully more good things will happen today...

I'm still ready to you for buying 500 shoes but hey its your B-Day do the dyam thang girl!

thanks it's a big bday and i can say i deserve it! i do sooo much for other ppl and we all know you cant expect the same from everyone so i just did sumptin for myself, as long as the rent & con ed is paid im good Jah kno i done flew my azz to JA without none of them being paid before so i guess baby steps lol
