Work provides us with soda. There are 5 million cans of regular soda in the frig. Not one single diet. Who the hell buys it and why aren't they paying attention??????????

Whether you have filed AOS or not Sus? You might be in luck Lovesponge since your wedding is on Friday (next). Generally funerals in Jamaica are weeks or even a month after the person passes.

I am not positive - But I can guarantee that they have to get married before he would even have a chance of AP - The K1 is good for 1 entry only, and you have to marry within 90 days - if you leave the US before you marry, it voids the K1 - I remember someone having this issue on the site (not JA) where she left, and they had to start over again.

LOVESPONGE -- do not let him go to JAMAICA with out the AP, they will not let him back in the country and ya'll will have to start all over again. My husband's mom passed 1 week after I mailed out the AOS packet and the packet was destroyed in an accident at the FEDEX facility. I didn't find that out until two week after sending it, so I had to send another packet on 8/13 I got all three NOAs after that. I called USCIS and the Jamaican Embassy here in DC and was told that he should NOT travel without the AP. So, USCIS said they would do their best to expedite the AP form. To my surprise it just showed up in the mail the following week, but it was too late his mom was be laid to rest in 2 days. We just told them to go ahead with the funeral. Girl, it was a mess, but we got through it. We ending up getting another set of AP in October (don't know why).

Some people don't have issues with the AP whenthey leave Jamaica and others do. I know alot of the IO at Mobay are not familiar with the forms and I tell people if they giving you a hard time, just ask for a supervisor.

They can't EXPEDITE the AP until you have filed AOS.

Hey Everyone! Thank you for all the well wishes and despite the heat the day was perfect and couldn't have been any better. And look at you all now that it is after the fact saying you didn't know how the yellow and green would look. It couldn't have looked any better! I have to thank Jawi for taking the time to help me and keep me looking good and not like a crazy woman. She really knows what looks great and I have to thank her for that from the bottom of my heart. Thanks girl!

I also have to thank Ryan4life...she supplied ALL the beautiful flowers and make ALL the bouqets. They were so beatufil and I can't thank her enough for all she did. Thank you and her son Trevor is a sweetheart too!

Thank you JG and Shaunsgal for coming I may not have had a chance to visit with you all very much but I was so happy that you guys were there.

JG you will have to send me the pictures I haven't seen one of just Marley and M together like the one you have. I love it. Oh and what is up with the beautiful weather now?

Now I am going back to catch up on what everyone else has been up to.

Ryan....those flowers were gorgous.

Morning Yardies, I had a sad weekend. My boo's Grandma died on Saturday. He is doing ok now but just want to know if there is a way he can get an emergency AP to go to the funeral without filing AOS???

Lovesponge - Emergency AP ONLY applies once you are married - if he leaves the US before you marry and file to adjust status, it will void the K1 - Sorry to hear about his Grandma -

Whether you have filed AOS or not Sus? You might be in luck Lovesponge since your wedding is on Friday (next). Generally funerals in Jamaica are weeks or even a month after the person passes.

Really...they wait this long for funeral? I didn't know...

You dont' know about JA funerals? Ask your hubby. He'll have so many stories to tell.

my husbands cousin died earlier this year and it took them like 2 months to bury him...i kept asking him what was taking so long and kept hearing a different answer....not really sure what is the norm...

finesse; I'm not sure about everyone else, but when my grandfather passed we kept his body for 3 weeks to gather families in 9 countries. My mom told them if they can't get it together by then she'll record it. We have an extremely large family and when someone passes, it's very diffcult to coordinate things, plus people have to look bout their travel documents. You can always come home to Jamaica, but many can't go back and some don't want to take the chance. When my granaunt died, 6 of her kids didn't come because they not straight and didn't want to take the chance.
