Every time I buy fruit, they usually put them in a plastic bag and seal...THIS IS BAD, even if it's not sealed , still bad, but not as bad as sealed. Make sure you wash any fruit purchase very well. Most times when I bought fruit and brought it back to the hotel, there would be maggots in the bag, just typical from the flies landing on them and the heat from the plastic bag. I'm quite sure that not washing will make you sick.

MOST times when you buy fruit??????????? Where are you getting this maggot ridden stuff from??? The rubbish dump????

I may have had a bad mango ONCE or TWICE as a child, I find it quite unbelievable that you manage to buy fruit with maggots in MOST times.

Not IN the fruit, ON the fruit from being in the hot plastic bag!!! Re-read my post. And NO, not from a rubbish dump, give me a break. This is fruit bought at farmers markets in Lucea, Sav....They put your purchased fruit in plastic bags and tie a knot. So, this sits in a hot truck until you get back to your hotel. And we KNOW that there are flies landing all over those farmers markets.

What is up on this board lately. Seems everyone is getting questioned left and right and being "accused" of lying....geezz

I do apologize profusely for 'accusing' you. I was not aware I had done so.

It is of course possible you AREN'T grossly exaggerating your experience and you have a God-given talent for picking out maggot ridden fruit.

The rubbish dump question was a fair one in my eyes since I've never heard of anyone being unlucky as you. Maybe you're attracted to bad vendors or bad mangoes??? I am still amazed how you managed to pick '5 out 7' times a mango that had maggots in it A truly amazing and wondrous feat I must say.

Was I wrong???

what board is this from? who is she telling about the bad fruit...other tourists or what?

i can't understand why ppl need a court of law to tell them that strip searching a 13 yr old child is not right

what is our world coming to?

Oh my goodness what were they looking for a bomb??

Hey all. Sus what kind of crackberry. I have the Crackberry Storm...and so far I am not addicted...AT ALL! I just did a flash upgrade so we will see if that changes my mind.

I like Pandora radio on it...however all the music I have "stationed" comes up as the oldies...like dancehall from 2004...still enjoyable because they are tunes I haven't listen to in a minute...just happy the application was free.

Hey you don't do any butt dialing do you??

i've NEVER even heard of maggots in mango

better it did INNA di mango, she seh PAN TAP!!!

Hear weh di claffy seh

not vexed at you smith, my comment on accusation was referred to the one who asked if I get my fruit from a rubbish dump.

anyway...These were indeed maggots. The fruit was purchased, placed into the plastic bag, and put into a vehicle for the ride to the hotel, mostly an hour drive, when I got to my room, going to wash the fruit, there were maggots on the fruit, not a lot, maybe 3 or 4 on each occasion. The fruit was not bad. Maybe a fly laid eggs on it hours or a day before I bought and the heat/moisture from the sealed plastic bag was a great incubator for the little guys. And,again, lesson learned, no more plastic bags for my fruit purchases.

notice she NYAAM idem afta

hey everone..going ton catch up

wakey

Intimacy, like charity, begins at home. If we cannot be intimate with ourselves, we have no way to bring to intimacy with another person.

Intimacy with ourselves takes time. We need time for rest, time for walks, time for quiet, and time to tune into to ourselves. We cannot completely fill up our lives with activities and become intimate with ourselves. Nor can we just sit quietly indefinitely and become intimate with ourselves. We have to have the time and energy to be our lives and to do our live in order to establish and intimate relationship with ourselves.

Surprisingly, as we become intimate with ourselves, we discover our connection with others
