Why do people try to out smart the auditors? You know we can find anything if we put our heads to it.

If you don't have something, just say you don't have it. It makes it look really bad..if you print it out the day after I asked for it.

So now, I have to be the bad woman and call you out. I hate this part of the job..because I want everyone to pass....but ya see they don't make it easy for you to work with them.

I'm in a Security & Controls team at my job... and we're performing an internal audit right now. This thing has me BUSY! So far, no one is trying to hide anything cause this is the internal one. Matter of fact, I start my interviews by asking "Do you have any gaps that you want me to record, so that we can fix them before next year's external audit?" I end each meeting by telling the person the good stuff & the gaps that I'll note for my findings. That way, no one can be surprised or upset later on.

cho man.. we forget where we come from.. i used to sit at the laundromat for HOURS while my mama run errands.. i would be fine if i have to go and dry my clothes for 30 min or so..

now my daughters never had to do that so that would surely be whiney if they had to go.. mek me tek them just for a reality check.. how bout dat!!!

Nat - I'm Internal Audit too. It really depends on the person. I guess I should've explain we are just finding "GAPS" in the operations to that individual. I explained to their boss..who probably didn't relay the message. Trust you want me to find it and not the external auditors...cause that cost $$$ because they are going to want or need to do more testing..which means more hours..which mean more $$$.

Ducking now.... I'm with Damion {sp} I hate the laundrymat. I would carry my clothes across town to wash at my aunts house if I had to go alone. There are just creepy... Everyone just sitting there looking around...old men..and little children...just scary.

But in the end...I gotta do what I gotta do...so if I had some dirty clothes..and my machine is broke down...maybe...
