English, you are right, and I know this is the reason I find it rude and I don't want to talk about it is because I am not comfortable discussing it, my ex that is an attorney I had no problem telling ppl he was a lawyer!!! So with my hubby I just say he is in school and trying to find a part-time jobs that fits into his schedule and try to leave it at that... But for some ppl thats not good enough, they want to know what school he goes to what is he majoring... blah blah blah...

Unu lucky...a no dem busniz, but if dem really want to know I tell them the truth end of coversation or do you want to know what size drawz mi wear...mi factey, some people are just NOSEY...I would never ask what your husband or wife does for a living, why, who cares, how will it affect me (unless mi ago git some a di buttah)...if ya'll want to share the info den share it odah wise a no mi busniz

That's how I feel, its not of their business but to be polite I answer... then they want to know if he is Jamaica too, the other day someone asked how old he was I am looking at them like why do you want to know that... You dont know how old I am so why you asking how old my husband is....

In some instance i do beleive its a comfortable subject for some ppl so they feel ok to ask if they are really interested in getting to know you... The member on my team I told them my husband is int school and I can't work pass 5:30 Tues-Thurs, But some ppl are just nosey, like they asked where we live thats cooolll but dont ask if we own or rent!!!! WHAT does it matter...

For those of you that are married and have your hubby here or not yet married, do you find that whenever you talk about your husband or soon to be husband ppl always want to know what the do?

I am like what the hell why do you care what they do? when other ppl talk about their husband or wife I never ask them what they do cause frankly it doesn't matter to me!

Yes I find when people realize he is straight from Yard they want to know what he does for a living. I don't find it so much as rude but nosy as hell, like they think he is a street vendor! Also people have asked me does he speak English? :blink: "Kissteet"

i'm just sick of jamaican politicians

after 2 yrs and all those promises

its more of the same and crime is getting worse

and they know who is doing the crime because they are the same ones providing protection for these gangs in the garisons they created

how can you be able to identify the amount of gangs in jamaica (over 150!!!!) but u can't get rid of them? in this small likkle island?

haaaaaaaa I see, well, I've been sick of it, but we can't give up hope. I remember sitting on a panel in DC and people were talking about how dangerous Jamaica was and that these resorts must warn their guest and tell them they can't guarantee their safety when they leave the protected walls of the resort, I just sighed. I hated it more when I heard other Jamaicans telling people not to visit the island period

Hey Tre!!! Hello yardies!! Some of you may have heard the news already.....My fiance was approved!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :dance: :dance:

I just got back yesterday from Jamaica. They told him his visa will be ready thursday or friday. I am so happy that this part of the process is over with. I would like to thank each and every yardie that has helped me through this process and for each and everyone that had me in prayers because I tell you what it worked, God is a good God and prayers he does answer all the time!! Again I am so thankful! I will post my experience where everyone can view under embassy info, soon!! Thanks!!!

No one should have to CHOOSE between their husband and kids or husband and parents or husband and grandparents. These are all totally different relationships. Any healthy and confident person has room in their life for all of them.

I just went to my fridge only to find that one of my VJ friends "Richard-Joanna" had a Edible Fruit arrangement delivered to me. I am simply amazed at the type of people I have met on this board. It makes me know that there are good people out there and that I must be a pretty great person too to touch someone's life enough for them to take the time out of their day to brighten mine.

I know I'm rambling...but I am so choked up by the kindness a lot of you have shown me. I'm thankful for all the friendships I have developed behind the scenes...and each of you know how special you are to me. I wouldn't trade our friendships for anything.
