I just went to my fridge only to find that one of my VJ friends "Richard-Joanna" had a Edible Fruit arrangement delivered to me. I am simply amazed at the type of people I have met on this board. It makes me know that there are good people out there and that I must be a pretty great person too to touch someone's life enough for them to take the time out of their day to brighten mine.

I know I'm rambling...but I am so choked up by the kindness a lot of you have shown me. I'm thankful for all the friendships I have developed behind the scenes...and each of you know how special you are to me. I wouldn't trade our friendships for anything.

and the ironic and quite hilarious thing is when you see how some of these ppl who bash jamaica live you woulda shock!

some of them life is a mess literally and figuratively

most of the very jamaicans dem turn up dem nose on living better than them

 My auntie's house sitting on one of those very hillsides is so much nicer than the row home she had here.

Jawi, glad to see you are not feeling as much pain as before....!!! much blessings!!!

Congrats Thompson on your approval!!!

1Luv I hope your chicken turn out ok.... I have to wear green tomorrown and I totally forgot... now I have to go find something!!!

Night all!!

It better! I am losing sleep staying up this late cooking. Why do u have to wear green?

Hey Luv, we are going from a decentralized HR to a more centralize process. SO we have had different business partners coming in for the past two weeks training. The first day of each new training session we have to wear our team colors so they will know what part of the center we belong... Since I deal with money my team is green!!

I don't really see the question as being rude. it's something that is polite to ask if you're talking about someone's SO. I ask it all the time, just like I'd ask how kids they have and what ages. Also ask it just in case the husband does something that I need at a later date, ie mechanic, lawyer etc...Then, when I see the person in a few months, years or whatever, I ask them how the kids are doing, ie 'how's your youngest enjoying starting kindergarten'...and say the husband worked for Jiffy Lube, something like 'I took the car into Jiffy Lube the other day, remembered your husband works for them, which one is he at?' etc...For me, it is an effective networking tool, something polite to ask.

I think perhaps the reason why some are thinking it's rude is that you are not happy with what he does?? In which case I guess you could be vague 'he works in banking/transport/hospitality/retail' etc and keep it moving. For me it's a sign of interest, not being nosy. In a corporate environment, it could be considered rude NOT to ask!

English, you are right, and I know this is the reason I find it rude and I don't want to talk about it is because I am not comfortable discussing it, my ex that is an attorney I had no problem telling ppl he was a lawyer!!! So with my hubby I just say he is in school and trying to find a part-time jobs that fits into his schedule and try to leave it at that... But for some ppl thats not good enough, they want to know what school he goes to what is he majoring... blah blah blah...

That is so sweet - I always loved those things, until my Dad died - and we got 9 in ONE day, lol - So from now on if I think to send one, it would be on an occasion where others won't!

I agree with you about the friendships, I wouldn't trade them for the world - and from those I have met in person, the connection we have here on the site just gets stronger - There are so many things that I know I could not have gotten through without the support of my Yardies - I always know I can come here for a laugh, a rant, or a cry =

And yes, I am high on vicodan again, so I am rambling more than you Jawi!

Glad to see you posting and on the mend -
