If you no readi, tek u time.

Shaunsgal, that sounds like that tv show with Reba McEntire. I didn't know that happened in real life.

OMG...........I LOVE that show.

Me too. Reba is so funny.

Barbara Jean is pure comic genius.

Is that the new wife/step mother? She is funny as hell.

I like that show too and now I get to see it again. I don’t have cable (never have) and used to watch it when it was on but now with the converter box I got a new channel and can watch the reruns. They’re all so funny at times!

Clairey yuh no cound iina dis

and yes mi figet bout Jonesie..

thought I saw Jawi on here..anyone here about her surgery?

Claimed...i think is because SHE said so..most dont really know what happened..

U know ..why when a LDR fails from an international country some say its b/c of the GC...u know when ur being used from DAY ONE u just didn't want to SEE IT

I personally don't always believe it is cause of a green card, Kimmy. Sometimes they just don't work out cause of differences.

I agree not always....but in her relationship there were HUGE red flags from day one....I remember her always having send money for this and that reason....I also remember being tarred and feathered for telling her so too....

I agree with this JAE. Which is why the word "claimed" hit me harder then it should've.

Quanna,

This is the closest to my hair texture that I can find, but it wont stay this way throughout the day! Especially with the humidity! If I wash it and wear and put a little oil it in its ok but a few hours later one side will look like straight brillo! and the other side will still be the same texture.

I have pressed it and then twisted it and wore it that way and it maintained but the air has to be humidity free!

JG - I'm getting like that about the phone. I would rather chat via text and email. I don't know why. It keeps me from getting into any mix ups...lol.

Well, for one thing, I can carry on more then one conversation at a time.

The only problem is when you get the different conversations mixed up & start telling one person what you mean to type to another.

But I wonder sometimes can you not see the signs?

I don't think anyone is that good at hiding them. People just choose to ignore them. The NOT ME syndrome. If there ARE signs, you WILL see them.

On a serious note. That has got to be so hard to do. come out of the closet and looking for acceptance from those people that you just came out to.

I have a good friend who is gay - I knew for a while before she told me - When she finally did, she said she could go up to perfect strangers and tell them no problem, but she had a hard time telling family and friends.

His mother is one of my best friends. She doesn't know yet. He promised me not to tell her. What should I do?

You have to keep his secret, as hard as it is - at least he was comfortable enough to come to you, and better that he feels he has an adult to confide in than not -

Philly - can u eat non-dairy yogurt?

Hey Shemmy,

I have never tried it but I will check it out this weekend. I like soy products and when I was a kid my Mom overkilled me with the soy

They carry a yogurt at Whole foods that is made from Coconut milk - So so so yummy.

ummm. this sounds good!! what do u grill the veggies w/ just butter, and a lil seasoning?? ya'll bear w. me LOL

Just a little olive oil so they don't stick - I didn't season them at all - they were seasoned from the dressing -

Hey TL;

Can I use a wire hanger and some foil paper, will that still work?

 Not anymore my friend!!! Yuh need da box.....:yes:

Tre....she is WRONG.

Make yourself a halo with the hanger and foil. Put it on your head. Climb on your roof. Start flapping your arms and doing a chicken dance. Your TV signal will come in just fine.

LMAO!!! Yup, JG is right.

I don't think homophobia is just a Jamaican thing... maybe a Caribbean thing. Louis has a big problem with it.

I work in travel and went to art school.... I have many gay friends. Maine has a very large gay community. I like to introduce Louis to people, let him talk to them... get to know them for a minute, then tell him. I hope to slowly chip away is predjudice.

My mother's boss is gay. He paid for all the flowers at our wedding! I can see wheels of change turning is Louis' mind!

It will take time. Damien is getting better. My daughter's best friend (a boy) jumped out of the closest over our house a few weeks ago. I thought Damien was going to flip but he handled it well.

What does that mean? physically or told ya'll he was gay?

He told us. We had no idea or warning...that's why I said jumped out of the closest.

On a serious note. That has got to be so hard to do. come out of the closet and looking for acceptance from those people that you just came out to.

How did Damien handle it?

When he told us..our eyes went straight to Damien  . Damien politely excused himself and went for a walk. Much better than I thought. He made a few jokes later that evening...that's it. Her friend comes to our house often so I wonder how Damien will treat him in the future.

His mother is one of my best friends. She doesn't know yet. He promised me not to tell her. What should I do?

That's not your place to tell her. Way too personal a thing and he needs to handle it himself. When he's ready.
