U know i never got into reading..not that i don't read very well...I find myself skipping to the end of the book to find out what happens..

I think that is classfied as a mental disorder of some kind...

I do the same thing....look at the end of the book. I'll read 10 books in a row then won't pick up a book in another 9-12 months.

I have been good trying to save my pennies so i can go to JA.. working extra hard

I'm not planning to go back to JA until Oct (hopefully we will be granted our interview in early Oct)...we'll see though...

I have the impression that the Jamaica school system is similar to the Nigerian one. Your performance in elementary school (possibly including a test) determine which high schools you qualify for. Your performance in high school (possibly including a test) determine which universities you can attend and what you can major in.

your performance determines what kind of universities u can go to

but it doesn;t necessarily determine what your major will be

when ur about to finish HS in JA u take CXCs if that's what they still call them..depending on how many u pass determines for some a good job and or getting into UWI or one of those Universities

i remember when i passed my cxc's i felt like i was on top of the world

like yeeea i can go on my own

I hear ya on that one. I wish I knew when my interview would be. If it's end of August (earliest possible, IMO) then I'd just wait. But if it's mid-September or later, I may as well go at the beginning of August.

But then again, I was there last year during Gustav and don't want to go twice during hurricane season if avoidable.

Morning All!! Bowling was fun but not I am tired and my arms are sore, A got really into it and wanted to beat my friends hubby but he lost in the 10th frame but he broke a hundred both times which is really good for someone that has never bowl before!!!

good school, have a lot of cousins that went there...I also hear good things about JC, KC, Mannings, Alverta...thank God I didn't have to take any of those exams.
