Tamara,

GW Bush left this country up sh!t creek without a paddle - what did hope for the next President to do about it?

Steven, stop spreading lies. George W was the best president evah!! Yee haw, where's my beer?

I'd seriously liked to hear those who are complaining, their ideas of how they would have handled the economic crisis Obama inherited? It's seems a lot of hot air, but empty of ideas or solutions to the problem....unless they don't see it as a problem.

Ask Danno, justa, Marc, VW, natty, etc. Those are the ones who are truly in the know.

that obama spends like a sailor on liberty after a long cruise? He's already proven this

are we going to go through this again? there again ... that was a fun discourse

In which you got your a$ handed to you on a silver platter.

not quite. you can wake up now ... and please stop dreaming about my azz

Stop spending. How is that for an idea?

And then what, Bill? You don't think the Fed should step in to prevent a Depression?

Too late to say what would have happened, but yes, I feel the 3.5 Trillion we are spending trying to stop a depression is only making things worse by a factor of 10.

So you believe the economy would recover by itself?

No, you are mistaken there, it was conservative commentators who dubbed him the chosen one because they thought the media treated him as if he were infallable.

No, it's because he had no plan that even his followers could explain beyond "hope and change" all the way through the primaries. He initially got attention as the black candidate and not having a tainted voting record as pro-Iraq War (he wasn't in the Senate either so it was an easy call). Now, we're saddled a man knows nothing about economics or business yet he's taking over larger segments of the economy. How many people would have voted for him if they knew he was a huge government interventionist in such a short time?

Do you think if the election was held again, now, that McCain/Palin would win this time?

No... Obama inherited a pile of horse feces due to good ole W, so McCain/Palin wouldn't have us in a better position than we're in right now. McCain's policies were 90% similar to Bush's (I didn't pull this out of the air, it's a statistical fact) so at most he would change things 10% (and that's not nearly enough). As for Palin she's totally unqualified to be anything more than a Mayor in Elkscrew, Alaska.

The VJ right will never, ever think Obama is doing a good job so their opinions don't mean a whole lot to me (read: partisan to a fault). If you look at the national approval ratings Obama is somewhere around 65%, which means that more than those awful libruls think he has us on the right track.

I honestly have no confidence that Obama will do the right thing for our Country. I hope Im proved wrong within the next 4 yrs but I doubt it .

I am gonna have to concur

The longer he seems to be President the more Fvcked up things seem to get

I wonder if he has a Jimmy Carter Shrine somewhere that he prays to every night........

Well the last billy bob retard GOP sure F'ed up this country so much that It will take more the 4 years to clean up.. Remember Katina, Still not all cleaned up yet, He F'ed that up so bad it is not even funny. Jimmy Carter was a much better pres. then Bush was. He is so freaking dumb. If he was not from a rich family he would of never been elected.

I think a hamburger flipper at Micky D's has more brains then Bush.

I gave bush one year to prove he can do the job, he fail, Big time. I did not complain 100 days, 4 months or 6 months. So you should give him a year and then put out your opinions.

This country is in a crisis mode thanks to HURCAINE GEORGE W. BUSH. the storm past by us on January 20,2009 so now is the time to do the aftermath clean up

The business news is on until the wife changes the channel. I have been listening to anyone but Paul Krugman for years.

Oh you just hate Krugman because he blames Reagan for starting the current economic crisis. :P

It's somewhat disappointing that nearly any debate in this forum quickly turns into a contest of "who can insult the other person more." I always thought that a good debate meant you actually argue the subject matter. I suppose I was wrong since OT has taught me that insults and inflammatory language is the way to go.

And the Jerry's Kids Telethon continues.......

I'm not going to reiterate my point as it hasn't changed. You can choose to read it or not. I really could care less what a mongoloid like you chooses to do.

I may be retarded but thank God you've at least learned not to repeat yourself. Next lesson:

You can choose to read it or not.

Read what? You never mentioned any of my points.

PM Private Pike on the fine art of dodging arguments since you've got a long way to go. Pretty obvious you aren't used to people questioning your beliefs.

Robs point seems clear to me. It was the tallking heads in the media who started depicting Obama in messianic, religious terms based on the observation (and wishful thinking among elements of the right) that Obamas support was unquestioning and uncritical.

What you wrote in response to robs post had nothing to do with the post you quoted and has demonstrated (again) your strange gift of not only missing the point, but being comprehend what is clearly written.

You also have a strange knack for fixating on the posts that are least relevant to the subject matter. We could have several pages worth of the most comprehensive analysis and the only post you'd respond to would be the one that says "bush is a cockmuncher"

In regards to hanging curtains, kind of strange, you dig a hole to pour a foundation, build a wall, cut a hole in that wall, put in a window, then cover it up with curtains, drapes, shades, or blinds. Some of these window coverings can cost more than the window, and why even put in a window if you are going to cover it up?

The window itself is getting to be a major problem, am having problems now with cloudy argon filled windows that leak in moisture and with recent quotes, the glass can cost more than the window. And to save even more building time, see most of the new windows have flanges for easy installation, but the thing is, if the glass breaks or gets cloudy, can't get a rag between that glass, have to change the entire window, and with the flanges, also have to remove the siding. And no matter what window you have, will never find a standard size to replace let alone match all the other windows in your home. Looked a lot of new windows from the major manufacturing companies with the question, what do you do if the glass breaks. You don't want to hear the answers I got.

So maybe the best thing to do, is to cover it up without getting into a debate whether this is a men or a womens' job.

Helped my neighbor cut down two trees last weekend, rather than waving a tiny chain saw at a bunch of weeds, was climbing 80 foot trees to top them. After the trees were down, cut them up into two foot lengths and tossed them into a trailer with bare hands rather than carry a couple of sticks with thick leather gloves on. Neighbor also hangs big heavy drapes like I do, not dinky little curtains. Guess if you want to meet real men, the leaders of our country is the last place you want to look, all whims.

The truth is, there is nothing wrong with hanging curtains, even a macho guy like me has done it :)

What is relevant is that no one could imagine Obama doing "mans work" .......as well.

One need not be a "manly man" to be a successful president but it is interesting to note Obama makes even Carter look masculine.
