Hey crew,

Nothing on my end, I go to the infopass every other week since it's across the street from my office but NOTHING from them.

I have contacted both senators office - one of them was the Office of Mel Martinez and they acted like they were perturbed by my request.

The second office Bill Nelson is working on it....

On June 16 I was able to get in a service request. They wrote me a letter saying that they would have a decision on my case within 60 days of the letter dated June 17. I have called several times and asked to speak to someone at the next level which is an officer. They have all replied that the case IS in adjudicators hands and that I will have a decision by Aug 16.

Well at least I have some type of feedback from them and not just the "we are working on Nov 25" #######!!!

Hope everyone is doing well

Should be soon now. After I contacted (and my Congressman and both Senators) them I got the same response as you..however within 3 weeks of my service request I received NOA-2.

I got an email. And the USCIS website is updated too. Your congressman saying that they can't help you is BS, because my contact through my senator's office is the one that got my case expedited and moving. They told off USCIS when they found out my case hadn't been expedited as requested 3 weeks earlier. So I suggest, you get all up in your senator's face and make them make calls. Because it really is in their power. The same day they were yelled at was the same day my case got approved.

I know you must hate it to see others approved, or it must make you terribly anxious, and you feel like you are sitting on pins and needles. But you are a heck of a lot closer than you were before. Just hang on a little bit more and we'll be celebrating together.

here we go again.

July 12, 2009

U.S. Senator John Cornyn

5001 Spring Valley Road, Ste 1125E

Dallas, TX 75244

Dear Senator Cornyn:

Yes, I would appreciate it if you would open another congressional inquiry into this matter. However I ask that you not delay in making your inquiry.

There is clearly a great deal of confusion in the general public, the USCIS and your office regarding processing dates. Previously an immigration officer, agent Osequera, at USCIS told me my petition was outside of the processing time frame. Please review my initial letter to you.

In as much as processing dates are concerned, the date of November 25, 2008 was published on the USCIS website June 15, 2009. Have they not worked since then? Correct me if I am mistaken, but Thursday, November 27th 2008 and Friday, November 28th 2008 were federal holidays. Where does that leave us? Let’s count, shall we? November 25th, 26th, December 1st, and December 2nd, and we arrive at the day my petition was received by USCIS. That’s four days Senator. Have they not processed more then 4 day’s petitions in the last month? That being said, it is noteworthy that according to their website this information was actually AS OF April 30, 2009. So, the question becomes, have they not processed more than 4 days petitions in the 2 ½ months since April 30, 2009?

On the other hand, the whole issue of processing dates is rendered somewhat meaningless by YOUR own letter of July 9, 2009. In your letter you state, “…the USCIS has to process these petitions in the order they are received.” It is a simple fact Senator. The Vermont service center has processed and approved petitions received in January and February of 2009, well after November 25th 2008. What is really going on here Senator? Please tell me, what is going on at the Vermont service center. Why are some discriminated against while others are not?

I contacted your office hoping at a minimum to get detailed, accurate and timely information regarding my petition. With all due respect Senator, I’m quite disappointed so far. The Vermont service center has had more than ample time to process my petition and they are clearly processing petitions received subsequent to mine.

Sincerely,

Posted

Aw man I'm so sorry you are still waiting. You really need to call them AND send letters. Let them know you are sending the faxed letter, then call them to make sure they received it. Try all your public representatives, senators, congressman, and assemblyman.
